The Vision Statement is an aspirational document that describes the shared community values and goals for what Modesto should be like in 2050. It will serve as a foundation for the remaining work to update the General Plan and will help to frame the land use and transportation alternatives, inform new and updated General Plan policy guidance, and ensure that the General Plan addresses the needs and desires of the community.
Below, you will find the Vision Statement for the General Plan, which was created based on ideas and comments that were shared with us through community workshops, listening sessions with a variety of community members and other stakeholders, small group community forums, and online surveys. We recently conducted a community feedback survey of the draft Vision Statement from December 6th through the 13th, and look forward to sharing what we heard at upcoming City meetings.
La declaración es un documento que aspira a describir los valores y metas que la comunidad comparte sobre cómo deberÃa ser Modesto en el 2050. Servirá como una fundación para completar el trabajo restante de la actualización del Plan General, y ayudará a determinar alternativas para el uso de terrenos y transporte, al igual que informara a los que guÃan las pólizas del Plan General, y asegurara que el Plan General aborde las necesidades y deseos de la comunidad.
