Community workshops and events are an important part of the General Plan Update process. These events will be held in-person and/or online based on public health guidance.
The City of Modesto is entering the next phase of its General Plan Update. This phase focuses on three land use alternatives—exploring different ways Modesto could grow to meet future housing, jobs, and community needs. The proposed land use alternatives were designed to ensure that Modesto’s future growth is well-planned and economically balanced and supports the creation of new jobs, increased revenue, enhanced amenities, and a variety of housing options for current and future residents.
The City is holding a series of community meetings to share the land use alternatives, discuss ways to increase the City’s regional competitiveness, and gather input from the community. We hope you can attend as your feedback is important!
